Touch

Touch a phone to a tag, the tag answers, something happens. A phone call, an SMS, a URL. Near Field Communication is the radio inside an Oyster card, brought into a handset that can also write to tags as well as read them.

Touch is a research project on what designers should do with this, run with the Oslo School of Architecture and Design and the Research Council of Norway. We have been setting it up since March 2006. The ongoing process lives on the project weblog (RSS).
