The Tomb Raider game structure is a series of spatial puzzles, that once solved become a linear (cut sequence) narrative leading to the next puzzle.
These puzzles can be huge and they are very finely crafted so that the player rarely feels limited in what is a very linear overall storyline.
The cinematic aspects add to the intensity of the game - the smooth panning camera moves and cuts add a very filmic engagement.
